On August 17, 2012, CNNC held “the Open Day” activity at Qinshan nuclear power base. The public delegation consisting of over 30 entrepreneurs, public servants, doctors and teachers in Haiyan county of Zhejiang Province, 30 nuclear power employees and their family members of local residents, and several media agencies including the People’s Daily, Xinhua News Agency, China National Radio and Zhejiang Satellite TV entered the nuclear power base to have a close contact with the nuclear power plant, with an aim to understand the operating principle of nuclear power plant, nuclear safety culture, nuclear science and technology innovation achievements, and the implementation of safety renovation measures in Qinshan after the Fukushima nuclear accidents.
