On July 21, 2009, the signing ceremony for the Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement between the State Nuclear Power Technology Corporation (SNPTC) and China Huaneng Group (CHG) was held in Beijing. The agreement marks the two companies will carry out comprehensive and substantive cooperation in the fields of application and promotion of third generation nuclear power technologies, construction of the large advanced PWR NPP demonstration project, and nuclear power professional personnel training, etc., which will play an active and promoting role in the development of nuclear industry in China and the progress of advanced third generation nuclear power technologies.
