At 2:35 of March 11, the Unit 1 of Qinshan NPP Phase II disconnected from grid and started the fourth refueling and maintenance outage. According to the schedule, the fourth outage will be lasted 45 days, and it is expected to connect with grid on April 24, 2006.

During the fourth fuel cycle from the end of the third refueling outage on April 29, 2005 to March 10, 2006, the Unit 1 has got satisfied operational achievement: continuously and safely operating 316 days without any unplanned automatic shutdown event; all of indicators of operation and safety are better than the check requirements made by the CNNC; totally generated electricity of 4.975 billion kWh, sent to grid 4.656 kWh; capacity factor and load factor reached 100.61% and 98.91% respectively; great majority of the performance indictors reached or exceeded the WANO median level.
