【China Atomic Energy Authority Net News】Upon the agreement  between China and Korean, the 6th Meeting of PRC -ROK Joint Committee on Nuclear Energy(JCNE) was held in Shanghai, China on October 12, 2005. Mr.Sun Qin, Chairman of China Atomic Energy Authority(CAEA), and Mr. Mr. CHOI Seok-Sik, Vice Minister, Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) of the ROK,  jointly attended and co-chair the meeting.

During the meeting, they had broadly exchanged the views and opinions on several important issues, including the situation of international nuclear industry  development, national policy of nuclear energy development and PRC－ROK cooperation in the nuclear fields and etc. Two ministers had debriefed the report made by coordinators of JCNE Working Groups and approved 38 projects in total for the year to come. Both sides agreed to hold the 7th meeting of PRC-ROK JCNE in Republic of Korea in the second half of next year at mutually convenient time.(Huang wei)
