China and India held another round of talk on the peaceful uses of nuclear energy

[CAEA Net News] Under invitation of Mr.Zhang Huazhu, Vice President of COSTIND and Chairman of CAEA, Dr.Kakodkar, Chairman of Atomic Energy  Commission of India headed an India delegation to pay two-day visit in China between  July 10-12,2005. On July 12, Mr.Zhang Huazhu and Dr.Kakodkar held another round friendly talk with each other.

Both sides recognized that as two important neighboring countries, China and India had been devoted to peaceful uses of nuclear energy and had carried out some cooperative activities under the multilateral framework At present, both parties are kicking off the bilateral cooperation. It is believed that this effort will be conducive to the development of nuclear energy of two countries.

Both sides had agreed to further promote the exchange and cooperation in the field of R&D of research reactors, construction and operation of NPP and nuclear safety regulation and inspection by means of seminars and experts exchange and etc.
