Wang Shoujun, chairman of China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC), and Philippe Knoche, CEO of France’s New AREVA, jointly signed a framework agreement for an industrial and commercial cooperation in Beijing on Feb 21.
Signing the framework agreement marks a comprehensive collaboration between CNNC and New AREVA on the whole industrial chain of nuclear fuel cycle.
The bilateral cooperation is based upon a joint statement between China and France to further deepen the civil nuclear energy cooperation signed on June 30 of 2015.
In addition, it’s a pragmatic embodiment for the global cooperation project on implementing Sino-French joint statement signed by two companies.
Meanwhile, the agreement lays a solid ground for boosting the future utilization and development of world nuclear energy.
