On November 5, 2009, Mr. Bill Gates, the founder and former CEO of Microsoft, visited China Institute of Atomic Energy (CIAE) and delivered a keynote speech. During his visit, both parties carried out technical exchanges on Travelling Wave Reactor (TWR). Prof. Li Ning of CIAE introduced about relevant circumstances. Prof. Zhao Zhixiang, President of CIAE, and Nathan Myhrvold, President of Intellectual Ventures and former chief technology officer at Microsoft, signed on the minutes agreed upon by both parties before the meeting.
