On January 14, 2008, the First Meeting of China-France Joint Working Group for nuclear Energy Cooperation was held in Beijing.

Mr. Sun Qin, Chairman of CAEA and Mr. Alain Bugat, Chairman of CEA led respective delegation to the Meeting. Both sides discussed tasks, guiding principles and roadmap of the Joint Working Group, and two sub-groups in the areas of nuclear technology and nuclear policy were established. Both sides also signed Meeting Minutes after the meeting.
