The 2nd Sino-South Korea Nuclear Power Technology Forum held in Shanghai

On April 24, 2007, minister of COSTIND, Zhang Yunchuan, and Minister of Commerce, Industry and Energy of South Korea, Kim Young Ju, addressed "the Second Sino- South Korea Nuclear Power Technology Forum" in Shanghai. Vice minister of COSTIND and CAEA Chairman, Mr. Sun Qin presided the opening ceremony.

At the opening ceremony, both ministers from China and South Korea highly praised the bilateral cooperation on nuclear power field, expressing that both sides have magnificent goals and rich experience in nuclear power application, and the similarity and complementarity will lay a firm basis for further cooperation of the enterprises. It’s hoped that, both sides could learn from each other, deepen the mutual understanding, and positively explore new cooperation opportunities, thus making great contribution to "mutual benefit and mutual development" on the platform jointly erected by the governments, and adding luster to the 15th anniversary of Sino- South Korea diplomatic relationship and "Sino-South Korea Exchange Year".

More than 200 representatives from Chinese and South Korean governments, enterprises and research institutes participated in this event.
