【News of COSTIND News Center】On November 16, Minister of COSTIND met with Mr.Oh Myung, Vice Premier and Minister of Science and Technology of Korea concurrently , and Korea delegation. Both sides exchanged the views on strengthening the bilateral cooperation in the fields of Nuclear Energy, electronic, shipbuilding and etc.

Recently, exchange visit between the national leaders were frequently, Mr.zhang said. The cooperation between two sides in the sectors of economy and science and technology were further developed. Since China and Korea neighbored each other, both side could be mutually complementary and the cooperative chance was promising. He mentioned that China and Korea had carried out some cooperations in terms of nuclear design, manufacture of large components and established sound working framework. He wished to push this effort forward. He agreed with Mr.Oh’s proposal regarding expansion of cooperation to other sectors of science and technology and setting up periodical coordination mechanism. He suggested that both sides proceed with four potential areas such as electronic apparatus, high-tech shipbuilding , nuclear power localization and design and manufacture of large casting components at first.

Mr.Oh appreciated Minister Zhang for arranging this meeting and mentioned China and Korea enjoyed a good neighboring relations and cooperation, and the ongoing exchange in the science and technology were vigorous. The summit between the two national leaders was going to lay a solid foundation for our future collaboration. In the meeting, Mr.Oh  informed  Minister Zhang of the meeting between him and State Councilor Chen Zhili, Minister of Science and Technology of China  and Governor of Yunnan Province.  He also briefed the science and technology programs conducted by Ministry of Science and Technology of Korea in the fields of electronic, communication, nuclear power, shipbuilding, Maglev and etc. He expressed the willingness to cooperate with CONSTIND Leaded by Minister Zhang in terms of electronics, equipment manufacturing and shipping .
